Here I am on Day Three of my personal goal to get healthy and stay that
way. I am very proud of myself that I have not cheated once on my diet
this week and I only missed one day of working out. That was mostly due
to how sore I was so I figured it was best to let the body rest another
day.
This morning when I woke up though, it felt like I had been
hit by a Mac truck! I had a horrible headache and my stomach was quite
upset and nauseous. I am chalking that up to my decision to no longer
drink any soda. Soda is my other addiction (outside of nicotine).
Additionally, I am putting my body through some major changes that it
has not experienced in years. So, I will push through it knowing there
are better things on the other side.
As I sit tonight and write
this blog entry I do feel a lot better than when I woke up. I did push
through my workout tonight. I believe that helped a lot.
I
eventually want to get to the point where I feel good enough to wake up
and do my workout in the morning. It will be more aligned to how my day
usually goes anyway.
I took some time tonight to reflect on some
things about myself and life. Right now I feel like the new habits I am
creating in regards to eating better and exercising are in addition to
my my "regular" habits throughout the day. I want to tie all these
things together into one cohesive experience and then it will all just
become "my life". It was pretty interesting to me when I looked at it
like that.
It has so not been any part of my existence for so
many years that it seems like such a separate thing. I changed my
viewpoint of it and I am now looking at it as just part of my life. I
know as I keep on doing it that everything will come together. I am
looking forward to that.
Well, I am off to another adventure. I intend to be back tomorrow to write about Day Four.
