DECISION MADE

Here we are- the day before starting my new lifestyle and the 1st day of the new year. Happy New Year!

I have spent quite a bit of time on the website I mentioned in my last post. The name is transformation.com and it is a great place to start if you are interested.

After looking the site over, I am definitely going to use it to assist me in my changes. I joined a group on there called FearBusters! I thought it was cool and there are some really nice people there trying to help others with their goals. There are some that have completed previous transformation challenges in the past.


The only thing that threw me off a bit was the new challenge will not begin until January 16th. I thought about it and decided to go with that. Now, keep in mind, this is not the official challenge set by Bill Phillips. This is just the challenge date the group members agreed to start. Bill has not set any official challenge as of yet. There is some mystery about that and we do not really know why that is.

One theory is that he is starting a new program at a facility in Colorado called T-360. So it is possible there will not be an official challenge from him. I am not worried about it either way. With this group we can do an 18 week challenge on our own. Oh yeah, I don't think I have mentioned that it is an 18 week challenge.

The gist of the whole thing is you start on the 16th of January and go for 18 weeks. You take before photographs and measurements and then at the end (and also progress pics along the way) you take new photographs and measurements for comparison.

The program consists of 3 days of weight training and 3 days of cardio training with an "off" day on one of the days. If you start on a Monday the usual "off" day falls on a Sunday. That is how I am doing it.

I will be posting my official measurements and such the official day of the challenge. Maybe my photographs, I have not decided yet.

My goal is to lose at least 30 pounds on this first 18 week challenge and then do another challenge to lose another 30 pounds and so on.

I will be taking the first two weeks of January to do a pre-start to the whole thing. I am going to go at it just like the challenge has started, but if I go off the plan a bit, it will not be as big of a deal to me. I also think I am going to need to get re-adjusted to lifting weights and doing the cardio days and tweak my eating habits quite a bit.
