Free day and some more "philosophy":
I am a true believer in how the universe gives us what we put forth into it.
Bill
Phillips states in the book Body For Life a concept he calls "The
Universal Law of Reciprocation". It hits the nail on the head with that
section.
I have had experience with this in the past. I have
extensive training in a particular counseling technique that hits every
aspect of life and livingness. It does cover this law so I am familiar
with it.
Today I practiced it and saw what I call a microcosm aspect of this in action.
Since
I was feeling particularly good from eating well today and doing some
exercise, while I was at the grocery store I just started smiling at the
people I passed and nodding hello to them. One older lady turned on a
big smile back at me. It was nice and made me start feeling even better.
When
I went to check out I only had one item in my hand and the cashiers
were very busy with a lot of customers. I stood in line at the express
lane which is right beside a regular line. The person in the line next
to me had a cart full of groceries and my line had about 10 people in
front of me.
I didn't get upset about it as I was not in a rush.
However, the lady in the line next to me insisted I go ahead of her
since I only had one item. When I turned around it turns out to be the
lady I smiled at earlier in the store.
This is just a small
example and of no major importance, but it is just an example of how
this all works. I found it very interesting.
I would usually
just go through the store, get my groceries and leave without even
particularly looking at anyone. I would usually also have been annoyed
at waiting in line at the express checkout.
Funny how your
viewpoint and attitude towards and interaction with life affects the
viewpoint and attitude toward you from life.
Try it for yourself!
