Today began quite poorly. I woke up feeling like I had been drugged. In
fact, due do my Sunday sugar treats and fried chicken at lunch- I WAS
DRUGGED!!!
I
think it was good to see the difference between eating well and not
eating well. For just the first week on this new path I noticed I began
to pick up steam physically on Friday, Saturday and even into Sunday.
Just one day of going off the eating healthy method created some
sluggish physical and mental feelings today. I think next Sunday I am
going to just do one meal that is not healthy and keep that one light.
One
good thing is having a group to keep me going. The group FearBusters over at transformation.com is
composed of some people dedicated to gaining their own health back and
helping others do the same. Due to their existence I overcame the
sluggish feeling and did my workout and pushed through the cobwebs in my
head and I even survived! Thank you for being there guys!!!
So,
my day consisted of a bike ride after lunch that was moderate to
intense for about 25 minutes. Then I did my upper body workout in the
afternoon. I used the 5/25 method. I think I am going to like that one
so I will stick with it for now.
Tonight, after dinner I took a
leisurely bike ride around Coral Gables, Florida. The moon was high and
full and the weather was cool so it was a nice ride.
My meals today were:
M1: 2 eggs, 4 slices of turkey bacon and 1 slice of honey wheat bread
M2: Campbells Healthy Choice Soup
M3: EAS Protein shake with 1 cup of frozen strawberries and 1 1/2 cup Silk almond milk
M4: Knorr Teriayki Pasta sides with Chicken breast and red peppers added
M5: Will be same as M3
I
have taken some time today to look over my current life outside of
physical health. I inspected a bit my attitude and fervor toward work
and how I organize that aspect of my life.
I notice that I could
be getting more work done faster if I start doing several things. Just
like I plan out the day and week for eating and exercise, I am applying
that to work. I have some training in administrative technology and
there is information about using a "Battle Plan" wherein you list out
what needs to get done for the day.
It is more than just a to-do
list as you really put down actions to get done that result in something
being accomplished. I don't just write "go buy paper". It's more like,
"at 1:30pm go to Staples and buy letter sized white paper". I little
more descriptive and I don't have to think about it at the time.
I
received two new files for work today and tomorrow I will have to go
out on the road to visit the insurance companies customer to assist them
with a claim. I can use the above information to plan out the road
trip, the best route to take between the two clients so that I maximize
my time and driving. It's all about planning!
Anyway, that is all for tonight. I am going to relax for a little while and enjoy existence.
